ecateCAT is Softcat’s online reporting and e-procurement tool.  It has been developed as a direct result of feedback from our customers and is in place to enhance Softcat’s mission of delivering great customer service. We are very mindful of the fact that you, our customers like talking to your account managers (and vice-versa!), so the site has been designed to further enhance your account manager relationship, not replace it!

There are two main functions within eCAT – reporting and ordering, both of which can be tailored in functionality to suit your organisation’s individual requirements.

Reporting
This function gives you access to valuable information about your account, enabling you to:

  • Monitor spend
  • Analyse delivery days and track orders (whether placed on line or over the phone)
  • View invoices, credit notes and historic order information
  • Analyse service level agreements.

ecatOrdering
In total, the site has over 52,000 products listed for purchase with visibility of current stock levels, allowing you to browse and order online 24x7.  eCAT also gives you the flexibility to:

  • Compare multi vendor product specifications
  • Create bespoke order pads of favourite or frequently purchased products
  • Have customised product sets i.e. by brand or product category  
  • Set different authorisation and/or spend limits for varying levels of users.
