Softcat has marked its increasing team in the Midlands and brand refresh by relocating our Birmingham office to the Billiards Building, just a one-minute walk from the previous location at Interchange Place.

This move symbolises a significant step forward as we continue to enhance our workspace and support our growth. The new office is also the first to have been decked out in Softcat’s new brand colours and logo.

Our new office space is 3,188 sq. ft. larger and was designed with employee satisfaction and sustainability in mind.

Matt Newton, Softcat’s head of property and workplace, said: "Our commitment to employee experience, belonging and sustainability has been a key consideration throughout this project. We are proud of the steps we have taken to ensure our new office delivers advanced, in-person experiences led by cutting-edge technology, while meeting key sustainability and wellbeing standards, which reflect our vision for a greener and healthier future."

We have reused existing assets from the current Birmingham office, including furniture and IT equipment, and we are using green energy where possible and mitigating impact where we can't. This will all contribute to our goal of achieving FitWell accreditation and SKA rating for sustainable building practices."

The new office has expanded to include a well-being room, a breakout area with a pool table, table tennis table, and dartboard, plus banks of electric standing desks.

Jez Bahia, sales and office manager for Softcat Birmingham, said: “This move is a great chance for innovation and growth. Our new office will boost productivity and enjoyment for our team. With more collaborative space, we can improve client engagements and host valuable events, like our Explain IT and Midlands Round Table Event coming in January.”
