Marketing

Our Marketing team makes sure Softcat’s brand shines and our message reaches the right audience. The team is made up of five key areas: 

  • Digital (driving online presence and engagement)
  • Communications (crafting clear and impactful messaging)
  • Studio (bringing ideas to life through design and creative assets)
  • GTM & Partner (building go-to-market strategies and working closely with partners)
  • Events (delivering memorable experiences for customers and vendors)

Together, they keep Softcat front of mind and make sure our story is told brilliantly across every channel.

 

Commercial Operations

 

The Commercial Operations team supports our customers, vendors, and internal teams by creating simple, consistent, and efficient experiences. We focus on operational excellence and enable Softcat to deliver outstanding outcomes at every stage.

Key areas include:

  • Vendor Operations (keeping vendor processes smooth and compliant)
  • Microsoft Vendor Operations (managing the full Microsoft lifecycle for one of our most strategic partners)
  • Customer Experience (bringing the voice of the customer into the business to drive customer‑centric decisions)
  • Customer Success (strengthening relationships, driving adoption, and adding value for customers and vendors)
  • Service Delivery (acting as the customer’s voice across Support and Managed Services to ensure our services stay customer‑focused)
  • CX Programmes (creating opportunities to gather meaningful customer feedback)

Together, they help Softcat deliver clarity, consistency, and exceptional experiences for our customers and partners.

Data Strategy

Our Data Strategy team turns information into insight. They manage data governance, reporting, and analytics to help the business make smarter decisions. From building dashboards to supporting automation projects, they ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable, driving improvements across the organisation.

Sales Operations

Our Sales Operations team keeps the sales engine running smoothly by managing processes, systems, and data. It includes: 

  • Opportunity Management (driving efficiency in the sales cycle)
  • Contract Enablement (ensuring Softcat meets its contractual commitments)
  • Commercial Sales Operations (handling pricing, quoting, and compliance checks)
  • Financial Solutions (providing flexible finance options)
  • Sales Support (assisting account managers with quotes, orders, and customer queries)
  • Bids (managing proposals and submissions to win new business)

Together, they streamline deals and help our salespeople focus on delivering for customers.

Alliances

Alliances is all about building strong partnerships with technology vendors. The team manages relationships across different tech towers, ensuring we align with vendor strategies and deliver the best solutions to customers. They negotiate agreements, coordinate joint initiatives, and create opportunities that benefit both Softcat and our partners.

Commercial Engagement

The Commercial Engagement teams work together to strengthen how Softcat engages with vendors and supports our sales organisation. They make sure our sellers have what they need to succeed and that vendor programmes deliver real value for customers and the business.

Key areas include:

  • Commercial Enablement (equipping sellers with the knowledge, content, and support to drive revenue across priority vendors)
  • Commercial Programme Management (evaluating, governing, and coordinating vendor programmes to ensure they align with strategy and deliver measurable impact)

Together, they help maximise the value of our vendor partnerships and empower our teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Digital Strategy

Our Digital Strategy team drives innovation by creating tools and platforms that improve customer experience and streamline operations. They focus on data insights, automation, and new technologies like Copilot to keep Softcat ahead in a fast-changing tech landscape.

Learning & development

Induction

We kick off your Softcat journey with an overview of all the non-sales areas of our business, led by our senior leaders, to ensure you understand how our company values form the foundation of our vibrant, people-centric culture. You’ll also take part in a focused Q&A session with our Senior Leadership Team, start getting to grips with delivering excellent customer service, and learn more about our commitment to D&I and sustainability.

On-the-job training

Through regular 1:1 discussions with your manager, you will begin to build a personal development plan that supports your career aspirations and allows you to grow. We also identify and promote suitable developmental opportunities to further your understanding and help you develop a wide range of transferable skills.

Coaching
