Softcat scooped two awards at the CRN Sustainability in Tech Awards yesterday (Thursday 13 February), held at BAFTA Piccadilly in London.
We took home Green Product/Service of the Year for our work in creating PAS2060 carbon neutral services and Net Zero Project of the Year for making the full transition to 100% renewable energy across all our locations, completely eliminating our Scope 2 emissions, among other projects.
The awards had 17 categories and recognised those in the IT sector that are making a real difference in the fight to stop global warming, and who are making huge advancements in the journey to Net Zero. We had a great team representing Softcat on the day, including colleagues from the HR and Sustainability teams and representatives from the Green team – check out the pictures below.
The awards ceremony was a part of the CRN Sustainability in Tech Summit 2025 that bought everyone together to talk about the most pressing issues facing our industry, and how we can all work together to tackle the urgent climate issue. The day included panels discussions, a comedian, as well as a keynote presentation from Nathaniel Comer, CEO and founder of Sun Screen IT, an ethical IT asset disposal charity. Softcat also played its part in the Summit by holding a sustainability quiz with top prize being a Remarkable Pro.
“It's fantastic that Softcat continues to get recognition for its commitment in all areas of sustainability in the IT industry. Although we have won a number of these awards over the years - it is never easy to stay ahead, and these awards are individually judged by industries SMEs, so there has to be well documented and evidenced entries and efforts. We must not forget that we don't do this on our own, it really is an all-company effort.” – John Gladstone, Sustainability Lead
A massive thank you to everyone involved in our sustainability work especially our Sustainability Team and Green Team for driving us forward and making these achievements possible.
