At the biggest IT channel awards of the year, taking place at Evolution London in Battersea Park, and hosted by comedian Justin Moorhouse, Softcat took home two awards, including an Editor’s Choice award for Softcat CEO Graeme Watt.

The annual awards, running for the 26th year, sees over 1,600 industry execs celebrate the latest technology innovations and advancements, recognising the ingenuity and exceptional achievements of the UK channel industry over the previous 12 months.

Collecting the Public Sector Reseller of the Year Award, Public Sector Director Ant Cowen said: “We are delighted to take home this award, recognising the great progress we’ve made within our public sector business in building a strong portfolio for our public sector customers. This award is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of all the hard work put in, not just from the public sector teams, but across the entire business by everyone at Softcat and our supporting partners.”

The judges commented on the ‘clever and humourous entry, packed with information which secured this well deserved trophy.’

Softcat CEO Graeme Watt was handed an Editor’s Choice Award for Channel Achievement, overseeing the recent stellar financial results and continuing a 13-year long run of continuous double-digit growth. Collecting the award, chosen by the Editorial team within CRN, Watt said: “This was a big surprise - a lovely surprise and I am chuffed to be recognised by an industry that I love so much.”

The theme of the event this year was ‘funfair’, representing the rollercoaster ride that the industry has been on for the last year.
