Weeks after being named the UK's 'Best Workplace' in the large company category, by the Great Place to Work Institute, Softcat has once again been recognised for its commitment to employee satisfaction, coming 5th in the European ranking for Best Workplaces. This is the 3rd consecutive year that Softcat has ranked in the European top 10 and follows a year of significant growth for the IT reseller, which recently opened its 6th office in Glasgow.

More than 2,250 companies participated in national list studies in 19 European countries where Great Place to Work is represented. Of these, the 100 Best Workplaces in Europe were determined and the results announced at an award ceremony held in Dublin, Ireland.

Softcat's CEO Martin Hellawell, said: 'To be ranked in the top 5 best workplaces in Europe and named as the best place to work in the UK is a wonderful accolade to receive and testament to the excellent work our employees do to make this company a great place to work. To be recognised alongside the many notable companies that have ranked in this list is incredibly humbling. Our people focus, employee engagement and satisfaction have always been at the forefront of what we strive to achieve. We strongly believe this has defined our success and will continue to do so as we head into the future. We are delighted to have received not only this award but other credible accolades that highlight and commend our unique workplace culture. Nevertheless we are far from perfect and will not rest on our laurels. We will use this achievement as a benchmark to further develop and improve Softcat as a place to work and a company to do business with for our customers and suppliers."

Softcat has long prided itself on the distinctive identity that its employees have cultivated over the past 20 years not only within the organisation itself but it's interaction with the wider community and environment as a whole. The company continues to expand and is recruiting for like-minded people with positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a real desire to work in a team across all its offices.

French company Davidson was named as the no.1 best workplace in the large company category.
