Leading online channel publication MicroScope has named Softcat its 'Reseller of the Year' in the 2016 Awards for Channel Excellence (ACEs), with the results announced earlier this week. Softcat was selected to receive the prestigious award as a result of its exceptional achievements this year, including a successful IPO and continued growth to over 950 employees across six offices nationwide.

MicroScope launched its ninth Awards for Channel Excellence (ACEs) looking to identify and highlight leading organisations across the reseller and distribution tiers as well as the best technology that has been sold through the channel. The awards celebrate the best of the channel, recognising those that have delivered the greatest service, products and support. 

Softcat’s CEO, Martin Hellawell, said, “It’s a nice surprise to be selected by MicroScope as its 'Reseller of the Year', 2016. I’ve followed MicroScope throughout my career, so to be recognised by them for our achievements means a lot to me. Credit for this award very much goes to Softcat’s employees, who build strong relationships with our partners and work hard to exceed our customers’ expectations.

This has been a particularly big year for Softcat with highlights including a very successful listing on the London Stock Exchange, the opening of our sixth office in Glasgow and the development of a number of new solution areas to meet customer demand, including Managed Print and more recently, Support Services. We won't rest on our laurels though and will continue to strive to achieve the highest levels of customer and employee satisfaction."

The winner of the Reseller of the Year award was not open to public voting and was chosen by the MicroScope Editorial team. The award adds to an already impressive haul for Softcat, including CRN's 'Best Company to Work for', the Great Place to Work institute's 'Best UK Workplace' and VMware and Sophos' respective 'Partner of the Year' awards.
