Softcat will continue its strong record of providing innovative technology and dedicated support to education customers after winning a bid to be part of the Crescent Purchasing Consortium ICT Hardware framework.
Not having been part of the current iteration of the contract, this new framework marks a significant milestone for Softcat, enabling direct engagement with CPC members and strategic school and college customers.
This framework is for the supply and delivery of ICT hardware, peripherals, and support services from trusted suppliers, with Softcat being on Lot 1 for Desktop PC Solutions. This includes:
- Monitors, keyboards, thin clients, high-performance/gaming desktops
- Bespoke equipment and new technologies
- Accessories and cables, imaging services, maintenance services and other relevant services including asset tagging, training and support

As part of this framework, Softcat can now offer its comprehensive device lifecycle services, leveraging strong vendor relationships and internal expertise on Windows 11 and workspace solutions. Additionally, Softcat boasts the largest education team in the industry, dedicated to helping education customers achieve fit-for-purpose solutions and exceptional value for money.
The framework allows customers to purchase laptops, tablets, devices, and services directly from Softcat. One of the significant advantages of this framework is its provision for direct awards without competition, which reduces costs and timescales for customers. This streamlined procurement process ensures that educational institutions can quickly and efficiently implement the solutions they need.
