Softcat, a leading technology solutions and services partner to over 9,600 organisations across the UK and Ireland, are proud to have been granted the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) Ready partner status by Microsoft.

Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework is a process for taking a customer through the entire journey of cloud adoption, from initial strategic and planning workshops, to migrations of workloads into Azure, and onto management and governance of those workloads. To be awarded CAF Ready partner status, Microsoft examines processes and service offerings to ensure compliance with the CAF Framework and that it exceeds their requirements for enrolment into the program.

This achievement shows Microsoft and customers that Softcat have advanced specialisations and capabilities above standard reseller operational excellence to be able to progress customers through the entire cloud journey for Azure adoption.

Matthew Larder, Head of Cloud at Softcat said: “We are incredibly proud of this achievement and the team that have worked on becoming a CAF ready partner. This is a great milestone in the cloud adoption space for Softcat and the status further validates our credibility within this space. We are excited for what is next to come for Softcat and our ever-growing cloud offering.”

As well as the CAF ready status, Softcat have also been awarded another three Advanced Specialisations to add to our roster. These three new awards are, Information, Protection and Governance, Calling for Microsoft Teams and Identity and Access Management.

Matthew Steele, Softcat Technical Practice lead said: “Microsoft Advanced Specialisations build on the related gold competencies that a partner can earn. Earning gold competencies, along with their related Advanced Specialisations, allows partners such as Softcat to competitively differentiate their capabilities to customers. To earn an Advanced Specialisation, a partner often has to meet demanding requirements, such as obtaining customer references, undergoing a third-party audit, proving attainment of a relevant skill set, and meeting certain, other performance measurements.By meeting these strict requirements, partners can then validate their deep knowledge, extensive experience, and proven success at delivering tailored, customer solutions for areas of high customer demand and relevance.”

Softcat now has a total of six Advanced Specialisations, two in Modern Work, three in Security and one in Azure which is a testament to the commitment and passion for Cloud Services excellence.

Paris King, Softcat GTM Cloud Lead added: “We are very proud of our work in securing these statuses and will continue to grow this list to continue to demonstrate the breadth of our capabilities and expertise in this area, which we know, is so important to our customers."
