Following a booming financial year, Softcat is recruiting across its IT sales, technical and admin teams, to bring in new talent and help drive the company further forward. IT sales jobs, technical and admin positions are available in our Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Marlow offices as well as out in the field. The recruitment and selection process

Your application is important to us and we’ll make every effort to keep you informed during the recruitment progress.
All vacancies are managed through our Marlow head office and job interviews will take place at one of our offices. On the whole we follow the same recruitment process:

1st Interview
For some roles, this may involve attending one of our open days. If this is the formula for the interview, we’ll let you know what to expect from the day.

2nd Interview
During the interview we’ll carry out a short psychometric test and a member of our HR team will discuss your results with you. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet members of the management team. We’ll discuss and consider your career aspirations and experience for the role you’re applying for.
For some roles you may be invited back for a further interview or to meet other members of the team. You’ll be advised should this be required.

Sales and IT training

Our customers buy IT from us because we know how it can help them achieve their goals. To achieve this level of insight, our staff need to be extremely knowledgeable and always one step ahead of the competition, so we provide them with up to date sales and IT training on all the latest products and services we offer.

We provide a mix of structured and unstructured training including:

  • Mentoring
  • On the job training
  • External courses
  • Management exposure

Regardless of the role you play in our business you’ll start with a full in-house training programme to acquaint you with your team and role. We then build on this, equipping you with the knowledge and expertise needed to successfully sell and support the sales of our IT solutions.

Your long-term development is of the utmost importance. Regular performance reviews will help us monitor your progress, share feedback and ensure you reach your full potential.

If you want to take on more responsibility, manage a team or aspire to a particular role we can steer and develop your talents to enhance your skills and develop your abilities in the right direction.
