Softcat recently hosted the Q4 Microsoft Quarterly Technology Review (QTR). You can watch the QTR on-demand here.

Featuring members of Softcat’s internal Microsoft teams, the one-hour, virtual session was a successful, insightful session, covering crucial updates across Commercial Licensing, Copilot, Security, Fabric, Azure and Customer Success Management. Attendees gained valuable insights into Microsoft's evolving environment, how Softcat enhances customer experience, and the latest industry trends shaping digital transformation.

During the session, we explored…

Commercial Licensing – key Microsoft licensing updates, including Copilot Cowork, SQL Server 2016 end of support, and changes to Microsoft licensing requirements.

Copilot – the latest Microsoft 365 Copilot innovations, including Copilot Cowork, Copilot Notebooks, new AI models, and agent-building capabilities.

Security – updates to Microsoft Purview and Priva, covering DSAR management, eDiscovery, compliance, and data governance changes.

Data, Automation and AI (DAAI) – new Microsoft Fabric, AI and automation capabilities designed to accelerate application development and AI adoption.

Azure – important Azure infrastructure updates, including Azure Reserved Instance changes and guidance for optimising cloud costs and workloads.

Customer Success Management (CSM) – Microsoft-funded programmes and deployment support available to help customers maximise value from E7, Copilot and Agent 365 investments.
