We are pleased to share that the FTSE Women Leaders Review has referenced Softcat as a top performer for Women on Boards, ranking us in third place overall, and eighth in the technology sector. Our representation for women on boards currently sits at 57.1%, one of the highest levels in the UK. We've also made good progress for representation on our leadership team too, sitting very close to the 40% mark.
This recognition reflects the work we're doing to improve gender balance at Softcat, at every level. It also highlights the progress we've made so far, and our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and able to succeed.
Katy Mecklenburgh, Softcat’s Chief Financial Officer, shared her thoughts: "I am delighted that Softcat has been recognised by the FTSE Women Leaders Review as a top-performing organisation. This independent review looks at how much and how well companies are improving the representation of women at senior leadership and board level, and it provides an important benchmark for progress across UK businesses.
Our position reflects the steady and deliberate work we have done over recent years to build a balanced Board and leadership team at Softcat. This is not about short‑term targets, but about creating a business that benefits from a wide range of perspectives and experiences, and is well placed for the long term.
