The Softcat News Team

We're pleased to announce that Softcat has placed in the top 20 of Glassdoor's Best Places to Work 2026, which covers UK companies with more than 1,000 employees.

Unlike other workplace awards, there is no self-nomination or application process for these awards. It’s entirely based on the feedback our employees have voluntarily and anonymously shared on Glassdoor.

Softcat’s Head of People Business Partners & Employee Engagement, Lucy Stefanovic shared the following:

“I love the Glassdoor Employee Awards because they’re powered by our people’s honest voices. The recognition is brilliant, but what matters most is the feedback - it keeps us grounded, shows us what’s working and where we can get better. That insight helps us keep Softcat a place where people feel supported, included and proud to belong. Being recognised through our employees’ own words isn’t just an accolade; it’s a reminder that when we invest in our people, we strengthen everything that makes Softcat a great place to work."

Below are just a few words employees shared on Glassdoor that contributed towards the award:

  • A genuine focus on culture and employee wellbeing.
  • Benefits are excellent. Softcat really cares about its people.
  • Incentives, trips, culture, support, friendly environment.
  • Great culture, great people, a company who considers what’s best for its workforce.
  • Have the ability to grow in your role and you have so much support.
  • Open, friendly, supportive, community-driven.
  • Very inclusive environment, focused on learning by doing so with a great support system.
  • Culture, people, values. Treated like a human being despite size of the company.

How does Glassdoor compile the list?

When employees submit reviews about their employer on Glassdoor, they are asked to share their opinions on some of the best reasons to work for their employer and any downsides. Employees are asked to rate their overall satisfaction with their employer, and key workplace attributes including career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, and work-life balance. Employees are also asked whether they would recommend Softcat to a friend and what they think of our six-month business outlook.

Winners for the Best Places to Work 2026 are then determined using Glassdoor’s proprietary awards algorithm, and each employer’s rating is determined based on the quantity, quality and consistency of Glassdoor-approved company reviews submitted by UK-based employees between 17 October 2024 and 16 October 2025.
