HP has awarded longstanding partner Softcat its Financial Services Partner of the Year award. It’s the first year that HP has offered this worldwide award to a company in Europe.

HP granted Softcat the award at its Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas last night, on the basis of its strong performance, business growth and collaboration as a partner over the past year.

“This was a fantastic surprise, we were absolutely delighted. To accept such an award on the global stage, in front of industry representatives the world over, is a huge achievement for us.” said Martin Hellawell, Softcat CEO. “Following the recent shift towards the delivery of IT products and solutions ‘as a service’ with monthly subscriptions, we’ve witnessed a significant upwards trend in customers seeking flexible financial options, so we’re delighted to be able to provide these.

“We really strive to work closely with all our partners, with a dedicated alliances director to drive innovation and keep the relationships strong. Our sales teams are absolutely committed to delivering financial services for HP, so it’s nice to be able to give them special recognition this way. HP’s financial services team have worked really closely with us to support our service delivery, so we owe them our thanks for helping us to win this; they’re an absolute pleasure to work with and we look forward to continuing to grow our mutual financial services business.”

Softcat’s acceptance of the global award follows its UK ‘Partner of the Year for HP Financial Services’ award last year at HP’s partner forum in Twickenham, after Softcat delivered 300% growth of their financial services business in 2014.
