Event Details
Hosted over a relaxed three-course lunch, the event will feature a series of short, engaging talks from women working in a variety of roles and industry backgrounds. Our speakers will share honest perspectives on their career journeys, lessons learned, and the realities of working in tech today, offering both practical insights and personal reflections.
This informal and welcoming session is designed to create space for open discussion and the exchange of ideas with peers facing similar challenges and opportunities. Above all, the lunch is a chance to step away from the day-to-day, build new relationships, and celebrate the impact and contribution of women across the public sector technology community.
Join us on the 24th February to discover:
- The mental load of parenting while holding technical or leadership responsibility
- The constant micro-decisions that shape how time, energy, and priorities are managed
- How well-intended “flexibility” can sometimes slow career progression
- The pressure to appear always available in fast-paced tech environments
- The skills parenting strengthens — prioritisation, empathy, resilience, and confident decision-making
- Honest discussions around burnout, balance, and redefining what sustainable success looks like
