An incredible night on the 13th of October for Softcat after coming home with six awards from the CRN Women & Diversity in Channel Awards. These awards were created to celebrate, champion and recognise women, and those championing women as well as diversity overall within the industry:
- Cultural Inclusion Award
- Diversity Employer of the Year
- Health and Wellbeing Recognition Award
- LBGTQ+ Inclusion Award
Our other two awards were won by individual Softcat employees. Emma Wright brought home the Technical Employee of the Year award with an “outstanding entry with a clear focus on technical skill.” And Alexander Lewis was awarded with the Mental Health Champion of the Year “who showed a real understanding of what mental health means and how this can be proactively supported in the workplace. “
These two amazing individuals were joined at the awards ceremony by the 25 additional nominees from Softcat who were nominated for a range of awards. These attendees enjoyed a splendid evening at The Brewery in Central London, where they were treated to a drink’s reception, followed by a sit-down dinner. The night also involved an inspirational talk by Sarah Stevenson MBE followed by an awards presentation - hosted by Emmanuel Sonubi and Rachel Parris.
Anushka Davies, Head of Employee Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion shared "What a night! The energy from everyone was fantastic. I was so pleased to see Softcat win some amazing company and individual awards and that's down to the fantastic effort and work our community groups and individuals both shortlisted and winners have achieved. I am immensely proud!
“It’s amazing to see all the hard work and effort from our community groups including Our SWIB (Supporting Women in Business) network which was created as a network for women and non-binary folk to form connections within Softcat and benefit from mentorship and guidance from others be recognised.”
