Tell us about yourself?

I currently live in Washington DC in the USA, having spent 8 years in the West country (Bristol)

I joined Softcat straight out of Cardiff Metropolitan University on the Graduate program, based in the Bristol office and have never looked back. I love the outdoors, barbequing and all sports!

What drew you to apply at Softcat?

As a motivated business management graduate, I was looking for a place where I could grow professionally while enjoying the journey, Softcat stood out as the perfect fit. The opportunity to develop within a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment is what appealed to me.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself at the start of the recruitment process?

I would say before applying, take a step back and really reflect on your strengths, what makes you unique compared to others? Then lean into those qualities with confidence. It’s easy to get caught up in what you think companies want to hear, but being authentic and self-aware goes a long way.

How has your Softcat experience been so far, and is there anything you’d like to share with us that has been a highlight in your career

It’s been an incredible nine years, full of growth, challenges, and fun. But without a doubt, the highlight has been relocating with my family to Arlington, Virginia. To have the chance to take a company that’s given me so much to new territory and help build something here is both a privilege and an honor.

What advice would you give someone thinking about joining Softcat?

If you're driven, motivated, and want to be part of a team that challenges you, supports you, and celebrates your success then go for it! This is a place where you can truly thrive if you bring the right mindset.

What drew you to apply at Softcat?

I’d heard about Softcat locally and had a friend who worked here who couldn’t stop talking about how brilliant the culture was. The more I looked into the company, the more excited I became. The energy, the people, and the clear path for progression really stood out. It felt like a place where I could grow, have fun, and make an impact—and that turned out to be exactly right.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself at the start of the recruitment process?

Be yourself and let your personality shine! Softcat hires people for who they are—attitude, potential, and willingness to learn matter just as much as experience. Do your research, be confident in your voice, and show genuine passion, whether that’s for your work, hobbies, or personal interests. If you’re offered a role, dive in. Embrace the culture, connect with people, and make the most of the opportunities around you.

How has your Softcat experience been so far, and is there anything you’d like to share with us that has been a highlight in your career?

I’ve genuinely loved my time at Softcat and feel excited for what’s ahead. It’s been a place where I’ve grown not just professionally, but personally. I’ve developed my knowledge, built meaningful relationships, and found a real passion for the IT industry. The culture here rewards effort and supports growth—from charity balls and vendor incentives to celebration days and Kick Off events, it’s clear Softcat values its people. A major highlight was winning the Commercial Rising Star Award for FY24, which recognized the positive impact and strong growth I’ve contributed in a short time. It was a proud and motivating moment.

What advice would you give someone thinking about joining Softcat?

Take time to think about what kind of role aligns with your personality and goals—Softcat offers so many different paths, so there’s likely something that fits you. If you’re excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced, social, and people-driven environment where you can grow and be supported, Softcat could be a great fit.

What are you most proud of in your time at Softcat so far?

I’m incredibly proud to have been trusted to lead alliance efforts for our new US office. It meant transitioning from a sales-focused role into alliances and relocating to Arlington, Virginia. This was a brand-new role for the region and a huge step personally and professionally. It’s been a challenge—but one filled with growth, learning, and genuine excitement.
