What we do
VMware, the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, has honoured Softcat with its Solution Provider Partner of the Year award for 2016 for the European region. Sam Routledge, Softcat's solutions director, collected the award on the company's behalf at VMware's invitation-only Partner Leadership Summit, held in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Each year, VMware recognises its partners for demonstrating excellence and achieving success as a result of their partnership. In conferring its Solution Provider of the Year award, VMware looks for partners that demonstrate consistent, year-on-year license revenue growth as well as the ability to offer a transformational solution to their VMware customer base.
"We're delighted to win VMware's Solution Provider award. It really takes an all-round effort to be judged worthy of this honour, not only in excellent sales performance but also in customer advice and support across multiple markets," commented Colin Brown, Softcat's managing director. "VMware's product portfolio enables us to implement solutions that deliver a solid return on investment for our customers, whether that's in productivity benefit like speeding up end-user login times, or reducing total cost of ownership; the net effect is we can deliver powerful IT solutions that support their business needs."
Softcat’s long-standing relationship with VMware is underpinned by the reseller’s participation in the EMEA VMware Partner Advisory Council, and a strong investment in its sales and technical teams through training and participating in technical events, such as VMworld. Softcat implements VMware-based solutions across a broad range of applications, including its data centre, networking/security and end-user computing practices, in conjunction with its professional services team.
