Softcat has won the 'Management Team of the Year' award, at the Thames Valley Deals Awards, held at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium.

The Thames Valley Deals Awards bring together professionals from the finance community to recognise outstanding deals as well as top-performing banks, law firms and private equity houses. Nominations are drawn from across the Thames Valley, which incorporates one of the largest concentrations of businesses in the UK. The adjudication panel reviewed entries for outstanding achievement during 2015 before shortlisting over 50 successful teams and businesses. As well as winning the 'Management Team of the Year', Softcat was also shortlisted for 'Deal of the Year'.

The award win reflects a highly successful year for Softcat, in which the company floated on the London Stock Exchange while maintaining strong sales growth, achieving around 50% revenue growth over the past three years.

Martin Hellawell, Softcat chief executive said, "It's no secret that our staff are our passion. Softcat provides a unique platform to engage, nurture and grow our employees to generate not only the best customer service levels in the business but to ensure that individuals are motivated to achieve their personal best. The Softcat management team is an eclectic mixture of highly talented, intelligent and passionate individuals that have embraced our culture, lived and breathed our ethos and lead by example. Many of them joined Softcat as their first job and have been here since. I'm delighted that our management team has won this award, they are a credit to our business and deserve to be recognised at this level."

The awards were presented by TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith. This year, the Deals Awards has chosen to support Brain Tumour Research with a donation. A report on the evening will be published in the May issue of the Business Magazine.
