Continually striving to prove that we are one of the Best Workplaces in IT, Softcat have now officially been named Top Employer for School Leavers in the IT and Technology sector, at the School Leaver Awards. The event was hosted at the glamorous Sheraton Grand, Park Lane with comedian Josh Widdicombe, presenting the awards. We were also shortlisted for the Best Training Provider and Best Training awards.
Recognised as one of the biggest and best awards ceremony of its kind for school and college leavers, this event rewards those employers who offer the best UK apprenticeships and school leaver programmes, as well as those who excel in areas such as job satisfaction, career progression, training and company culture. The award was based on feedback from surveys of our apprentices and school leavers.
Laura Sneath, Early Careers Development Manager at Softcat, was delighted with the news, “It means so much to us on the Learning and Development team to be able to help young people to start their career journeys. We feel so proud of all our new starts and apprentices who come into the business who can flourish and grow in their own field. It’s amazing for our apprenticeship and graduate schemes to be recognised in this way, as they are a huge asset to us and we work hard to invest in them. I’m hugely proud of all the team for their continued efforts to make our programmes some of the best in the country – well done!”
Jack Denton, Director and Co-Founder of AllAboutSchoolLeavers.co.uk, said: “Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s rankings, as well as to everyone who was shortlisted. We hope our annual awards continue to help young people make decisions about the future."
