Softcat Scoops Great Place To work

Its people and culture are just two of the many reasons why the employees of Softcat plc, a leading provider of IT infrastructure products and services, love working there. There are also many other reasons according to UK’s Best Workplaces™ ranking which has just been published by Great Place to Work®. Softcat plc has been recognised as 5th in the UK in this year’s ranking for the Super-Large Category. This is the 4th time Softcat has ranked in the UK’s Best Workplaces, and the first time it has competed in the Super-Large business category

CEO, Graeme Watt, says of the award “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised by ranking 5th in Great Place to Work Super-Large Category. Our people are at the heart of everything we do at Softcat. Developing and maintaining a highly motivated and engaged workforce is key to delivering some of the best customer relationships in the Industry and the two elements are inextricably linked. We have built the company around that ethos and our 91% employee engagement rate is testament to that. This really is an award for all our staff in Softcat that make it such a wonderful place to work.”

Softcat plc now comprises a team of over 1,500 people across nine offices, throughout the UK and Ireland – Marlow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol, Fareham and Dublin - and prides itself on its people first and family culture.

Great Place to Work® UK’s managing director, Ben Gautrey, said: “Softcat’s recognition as a Best Workplace™ highlights the positive impact their practices have on business, especially at challenging times of uncertainty such as this. As a result, they are better able to attract and retain tech talent, encouraging such individuals to develop professionally and personally and in turn contribute exponentially to the success of their organisation.”
