Weeks after achieving second place in the UK’s Great Place To Work scheme, Softcat has come 8th place in the European ranking, out of over 2,300 companies from 19 countries taking part.
Softcat has long prided itself on its warm and inclusive culture and generous rewards system. Employees benefit from regular nights out, team meals and even trips abroad for top performers. All employees further benefit from medical and dental cover, and extra perks like half days on their birthdays and free breakfast every day.
Colin Brown, managing director, said: “It’s a real honour that our employees have voted us one of the top ten European workplaces, and the top two UK workplaces. We strive to foster creativity and a sense of solidarity in each of our UK workplaces, with the result that the satisfaction of our staff spreads to our customers, for whom we have a 98% satisfaction rate. The trust between our teams and their managers is extremely high, and I have personally heard several staff members refer to Softcat as being ‘like a family’. This is the best thing I could hope to hear.” He added, “Every year Softcat continues to grow, and for us to maintain this kind of reputation for a company our size is a real testament to our strong culture – I’m proud to manage such a genuinely unique workplace.”
According to an earlier external survey of Softcat staff, 91% agreed with the statement ‘Management shows a sincere interest in me as a person, not just an employee’, and 95% would recommend working there to others.
Softcat is currently on a huge recruitment drive following the opening of two new offices in the last 18 months.
