Last week Softcat picked up the Value Added Reseller for H2 FY2015 award from growing data storage provider Pure Storage at the Eight Members Club in Bank, London. Peter Gadd, Pure Storage’s Northern EMEA director, presented the award.

The award recognises Softcat’s performance in the delivery of Pure Storage’s revolutionary FlashArray storage and applications to its 8,000-strong customer base in the UK.

“We’re always glad to know we’re doing a good job with our partners, and awards like these prove that we’re delivering for them,” said Colin Brown, managing director at Softcat. “Our staff work incredibly hard to connect our customer base with the relevant solutions, and storage is a common issue for customers – we’re delighted to be able to provide them with solutions such as Pure Storage’s FlashArray, which can give customers economical, scalable storage.”

Pure Storage is an all-flash enterprise storage provider. In 2011 it introduced flash storage to the market – a scalable, reliable and cost efficient solution thought to require just a fifth of the power and space needed for traditional storage arrays. Pure Storage has worked with Softcat since it opened its offices in the UK two years ago.

The award follows the Founding Partner Award at Pure Storage’s annual kick off in San Francisco earlier this month.
