During a glitzy ceremony at The Brewery in London hosted by comedian and freestyle rapper Chris Turner last night, Softcat scooped the award for Best Apprenticeship Scheme, coming hot on the heels of several other apprentice and learning awards this year.
The CRN Sales & Marketing Awards recognises and rewards the achievements of individuals and teams that are responsible for making the UK IT channel truly great.
This award follows a series of wins for the Apprentice team at Softcat, coming after a Regional Apprenticeship Award, a commendation at the National Apprenticeship Awards and the Apprenticeship Programme of the Year award at the 2017 Learning Awards. Last August Softcat welcomed its largest intake, with 23 new apprentices joining the Softcat team, with 17 graduating to full-time sales, technical and admin positions within the business.
Anushka Davies, Head of Training and Development at Softcat, said: "Our Softcat apprentices are a huge asset to us and we work hard to invest in them. Our apprentice training programme is designed to inspire young people at a key stage beginning their working life. The multiple awards our apprentice programme has picked up this year has recognised the investment we have made. It's a great acknowledgement of the hard work and commitment of our Training and Development team!"
