At the same time, the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) national software license reseller (SLR) framework – which Softcat has been active on for 18 months and is currently ranked No.1 in all four of its tendered lots – is rolling out its membership inclusion to UK colleges, and is expected to become their main route for software licensing procurement.
Head of education Nick Berry, said: “We’re delighted to have won these lots on the new CPC framework, as this will help us provide hundreds of schools and academies with cost-effective access to our software licensing services through a trusted purchasing route. Our 20+ years of experience in software licencing coupled with our unparalleled vendor partnerships, expertise and specialists enables us to provide best value and customer service to CPC member schools. We are excited to work with CPC in driving awareness of the framework to its membership base and supporting them through the buying process to make sure they get the most cost-effective deals.”
He added, “It’s also great to see the Software Licence Resellers framework extending its reach to cover UK colleges – this will give FE colleges better access to software licensing and other software products. Softcat’s number one position on every lot validates our capability in assisting colleges with adopting strategic licencing models, enabling more cost effective management of their software estate, as we currently do so successfully with our university customers.”
It’s been a busy few years for Softcat’s rapidly expanding public sector team, successfully winning lots on the fifth iteration of G-Cloud, National Server & Storage Agreement (NSSA) and National Desktop & Notebook Agreement (NDNA) amongst others.
Software licensing and other software is now available to purchase from Softcat by participating educational establishments via the CPC and SUPC frameworks. Contact your account manager on 01628 403 403 or [email protected].
