Adam Harding – Chief Technologist – End User Computing - Softcat
Adam is an experienced and effective technologist who has held various technical, consultant and leadership positions within the IT industry since 2003. He currently leads the end user technology domain at Softcat plc, and has a demonstrable track record of delivering successful change programmes for both domestic and global organisations.
A regular speaker at industry events and member of several key vendor advisory boards and technology councils, Adam has an industry voice and uses it to help align vendor strategy, product development and investment with the needs of Softcat's customers
John Gladstone - Lifecycle & Logistics Business Manager – Softcat
John Gladstone is business lead for logistics, lifecycle and sustainability within Softcat. With over 20 years in the IT industry specialising in services and lifecycle solutions across the globe. Much of this time has been spent working across large customers across all sectors including public, private and defence ensuring customers assets held, deployed and where applicable, disposed of correctly. Since his time at Softcat John has spent his time developing Softcat’s warehousing, depot and lifecycle services. All of these of offerings are in place to maximise efficiency, value and environmental impact.
John’s latest task is to lead Softcat’s own sustainable strategy and journey, working across the business and with vendors, suppliers and partners to ensure their products and services being offered are supporting not only Softcat’s sustainability journey, but also that of their customers too.
Mark Dempsey - HP UK Sustainability Manager & Global WEEE Programme Manager – HP Inc
Mark Dempsey is HP Sustainability Manager for the UK and Ireland helping to lead HP’s sustainability programmes and working in partnership with customers to deliver positive sustainable impact. Mark is also our Global WEEE policy lead for HP. Mark has previously worked as European Environmental Policy Advisor for Hewlett Packard and Manager of the Parliamentary Sustainable Waste Group at Westminster. Mark has also spoken at conferences in China, India, Brazil and Australia on EPR.
Mark has gained detailed knowledge of the Extended Producer Responsibility, the Circular Economy, resource efficiency, and environmental management for businesses; and has extensive experience of leading policy engagement in Westminster and Brussels. Mark has a degree in Geography and a Masters in Environmental Policy and Management and is a member of the CIWM and a Fellow of IEMA.
