Marlow, UK, 13 January 2020 – The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has named Softcat as a supplier on its Technology Products and Associated Services framework (TePAS). The framework is pan-government, will deliver a four-lot agreement and is available to the entire UK public sector to provide technology hardware, software and associated services for the next four years.
Central government departments, local authorities and councils, healthcare, education, police, defence, charities and housing associations will now have access to an enhanced, revamped IT services line-up. Framework lot detail:
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth £945m - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
CCS customers will also benefit from an easier procurement process and will now be able to purchase both technology products and services from Softcat via one simple procurement route.
Replacing the Technology Products 2 framework, the revamped TePAS framework offers a new, compliant and refreshed route to market for the supply of commodity technology goods and associated services including (but not limited to); end user support, service desk, integration, system installation, project management, training, leasing (hiring of goods), security management, hardware asset management, software asset management, network infrastructure management services, device as a service and ESCROW.
Andy Bruen, Softcat’s Strategic Relationships Manager commented, “The Technology Products 2 Framework has been the signature IT Framework for the UK’s public sector over the last four years. We’re projecting even more customer interest in the TePAS Framework; as customers will appreciate the innovative approach CCS have adopted with the replacement framework. The likes of the 100% price led, accelerated, short-form competitions will see greater simplification (and efficiency) in their procurement processes.”
Anthony Cowen, Softcat’s public sector Director commented, “Winning a place on all four lots on the UK’s largest IT framework is an excellent start to 2020. And allows Softcat to continue in effectively supporting our public sector customers with their IT challenges for the next two to four years. Expanding the framework scope to broaden accessible services will drive customer interest in the contract as it works to simplify their procurement.”
Having recently won CRNs highly coveted Public Sector Reseller of the Year Award, and being named as one of Britain’s 50 Best Managed IT companies, Softcat is confident of its ability to deliver outstanding customer service via the new TePAS framework. Softcat is already recognised on over 36 other public sector procurement frameworks, as well as eight other Crown Commercial Service frameworks; further demonstrating and strengthening Softcat’s expertise in delivering IT solutions to the public sector and beyond.
