Earlier this week at IGEL Technology's partner roadshow, Softcat picked up its 'Southern UK Partner 2015' award in recognition of another year of strong sales, large deals and increased revenues.
IGEL, one of the world's leading thin-client providers, is one of Softcat's go-to partners for end user computing (EUC) solutions.
Managing director Colin Brown said: "We enjoy an excellent working relationship with IGEL and we were delighted to receive this award, which demonstrates our depth of expertise in providing end user computing solutions. Credit goes to our specialist EUC team for their commitment to connecting new and existing customers with the technology they need to keep their businesses functioning smoothly." He added, "It's a pleasure to work with the IGEL team and we're grateful for their commitment. They have a really strong community presence here at Softcat; because they deliver entirely through the channel they put a lot of effort into nurturing our relationship, giving us plenty of support and resource when we need it. They're a great team to deal with – and their technology is excellent."
Solutions director Sam Routledge commented on the general trend towards virtualisation: "We've certainly noticed strong demand across the industry for thin clients in recent years, especially as end user computing has become more popular. They're a natural replacement for older desktops, far more energy efficient, with faster performance and superior security. Our customers like IGEL's thin-client solution because it gives them a lot of choice and it's so simple to manage – they have a strong hardware portfolio and a very good management console. On top of this they have a very good support team on hand to deal with any questions or issues."
