Softcat wins ‘Rising Star’ award at Tableau EMEA Partner Summit

Tableau (NYSE: DATA) a global leader in easy-to-use business analytics software, awarded Softcat its 'Rising Star' accolade at the company's recent 2016 EMEA Tableau Partner Summit. Tableau's awards recognise excellent growth and notable achievements from its global partners. This new award, which was one of just eight categories, acknowledges significant contributions to business growth.

Softcat picked up its award for outstanding sales results, which saw the reseller become one of Tableau's largest UK partners in under a year of working together. The event, held in London, brought together 450 attendees from across EMEA to learn more about Tableau products, attend exclusive training courses and network. Richard Wyn Griffith, Softcat's solutions sales director, and Lissa Jackson, business development manager for BI and analytics, collected the award on Softcat's behalf.

"Our annual Tableau Partner Summit gives us the opportunity to acknowledge our partners doing exemplary work to help customers see and understand their data," said Paul Greenspan, director of channels in EMEA at Tableau. "Our partners are an integral part of our business, bringing a diverse range of solutions and services to customers across the EMEA region and we're thrilled to recognise their contributions."

Colin Brown, Softcat's managing director, said: "As well as being easy to adopt, Tableau addresses one of our clients' key business challenges – how to make sense of their growing volumes of data.
