With eight weeks until showtime, Softcat’s charity May Ball ticket sales are through the roof, with 630 people attending already and many more predicted as the event draws closer. Employees, partners and staff guests are eagerly anticipating the now infamous yearly bash, to be held on May 23rd at London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, in aid of national children’s charity Dreams Come True.

The evening will involve exquisite dining followed by world-class entertainment including:

  • Spelbound – Britain’s Got Talent winners.
  • Stewart Francis – Comedian
  • Lee Nelson – Comedian
  • Charlie Hedges – DJ
  • FISH Percussion – Britain’s Got Talent Contestant
  • Jonny Gould – Auctioneer

Auctions and a raffle will also take place throughout the evening.

Charlie Harman, heading up Softcat’s charity team, said: “We’ve worked with charity Dreams Come True for years because we’ve seen first hand what a difference they make to terminally ill children’s lives. In 2014 we raised enough funds to assist in reducing the waiting time for a child’s dream to be fulfilled from 18 to 6 months, and now we really hope to reduce this waiting time down to a month. We hope that the proceeds from this year’s May Ball will go a long way towards achieving this.”

Colin Brown, Softcat’s managing director, said: “This is our fourth May Ball and having raised a staggering ?200,000 last year the pressure is on, but we’re confident that this year will be the best one yet. Our charity team has worked incredibly hard to bring together some class acts, a raffle and an auction, all in one of the grandest venues in London.”

The May Ball is Softcat’s main charity fundraising event of the year, last year raising ?200,000 from ticket sales and sponsorship. This year’s beneficiary is Dreams Come True, the charity for terminally ill children and young people in the UK. Tables are selling out fast, so reserve your tickets today.
