Softcat’s recent achievement of being awarded Lot 2 and 3 on the buying solutions framework has enabled us to build an Education focused Sales team, who have a wealth of skills and experience to assist in this area. Softcat have been working closely with the key vendors in the Educational sector to ensure that our pricing is competitive, and that our knowledge around the Academic vertical is at the highest possible standard. All our Educational Account Managers are required to undertake specific training across a variety of areas so that our customers are assured of an optimum level of service.
As a Microsoft LAR we are ideally placed to put forward a comprehensive offering around the entire Microsoft platform as it relates to Education. In the last year alone we have completed over 50 Schools Agreements, in addition to our usual complement of academic licensing, Select and Enterprise Agreements. As a company, Softcat will always look to go above and beyond to keep our customers informed and up to date: for instance, monthly training is provided for each of our customers holding Schools Agreements, to ensure each one is aware of the inherent Software Assurance benefits and advantages.
As of June 2010, we have been awarded our Adobe ALC status for Government and Education, which entitles us to the best discounted pricing for our customers, along with the highest level of training for our company internally. This enables our Educational Account Managers to utilise this knowledge to keep our customers conversant with the latest developments and make sure that we are providing the most appropriate solution for each individual educational establishment. In addition, the Educational team are regularly attending full day Adobe events, learning how all new product releases and upgrades will benefit our Academic customers.
Softcat have also been awarded the PSPP (Public Sector Partner Program) pricing for Cisco products for Local Government – which covers Local Education Authorities (LEAs) and Academies. We have an internal team of Networking and Cisco specialists available to provide an all encompassing solution from beginning to end, including expert advice, demonstrations, training and installation.
Softcat is passionate about its role in transforming education using our wide-ranging experience in this area to enhance the existing infrastructure of Schools and Universities, in keeping with existing values and key drivers already in place.
In additional to traditional vendor solutions Softcat recognise the importance of open source alternatives and our account managers will be happy to discuss these with you.
