Microsoft to increase UK pricing by an average of 29%

Microsoft today announced that in two months’ time, on 1 July 2012, it will increase the UK prices of all of its products by an average of 29%. The change will affect corporate and government customers, but not customers in the education sector.

Microsoft announce changes to UK pricing
Microsoft has made an important announcement regarding forthcoming changes in pricing policy that will effect all volume licensing customers within the EU and EFTA area. Beginning on 1st July 2012, prices charged will be aligned to Euro pricing at the prevailing exchange rate. Due to sustained currency differences, some EU/EFTA countries will see changes to non-euro pricing as we establish greater price consistency across Europe. Based on prevailing currency rates, we anticipate price adjustments for the British Pound on 1st July 2012, across all volume licensing programmes
