Softcat is Symantec’s ‘Partner of the Year’

Symantec has named IT reseller Softcat its UK ‘Partner of the Year’ for 2011-12. Softcat’s sales of Symantec solutions have grown across the board – within its enterprise, commercial and small and medium business (SMB) market sectors.

Softcat’s partner services team is enabling solutions incorporating Symantec products to a growing number of managed and hosted service providers. The IT provider has also grown, from a standing start, to become the seventh biggest reseller to the public sector.

At its UK and Ireland Partner Awards ceremony, held at the Partner Engage event in Rome, Symantec presented an additional award – for ‘Individual Contributor’ – to Softcat business manager Lance Williams in recognition of his team’s commitment in selling Symantec solutions. Both awards follow hot on the heels of Softcat’s ‘Commercial Partner of the Year’ win in 2011.
