Softcat is Lenovo Growth Partner of the Year 2012

The Lenovo Growth Partner of the Year award this year goes to Softcat. The IT provider, headquartered in Buckinghamshire, is achieving faster year-on-year growth than any of computer hardware company Lenovo’s other partners.

Softcat sales specialist James Batten collected the trophy at the awards ceremony in Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire, which formed part of Lenovo UK’s annual business partner event. “We are thrilled to have won this award,” he commented. “Lenovo’s products are proving very popular with our customers, and we have been working very hard to address that demand.”

The awards ceremony was hosted by Darren Phelps, the SMB and channel director for Lenovo UK and Ireland. “The Softcat and Lenovo team over the past year have grown the business beyond our expectations,” he said.

“The commitment that the Softcat team has shown to working together has translated into significant commercial success for both Lenovo and Softcat. It is with great pleasure that I present them with Fastest Growing Partner of the Year award and we look forward to continuing success with Softcat this year."

Lenovo nominated Softcat for a total of three awards. The win is the latest in a long series for Softcat in 2012. Its list of high-profile partner awards this year also includes Mimecast Premier Partner of the Year, Cisco Commercial Partner of the Year, HP Gold Partner of the Year, HP Storage Partner of the Year, HP PSG Partner of the Year, Symantec Commercial Partner of the Year, Websense EMEA Triton Partner of the Year, and Sophos Partner of the Year. Softcat won more MicroScope ACEs this year than any other organisation, and in 2011 became the first company to retain Reseller of the Year at the CRN Channel Awards.
