Softcat has made a new year’s resolution to hire even more new staff than usual, with an expected 40-50 recruits expected to join the ranks by Easter.
Softcat is walking on air, as Microsoft has welcomed the reseller onto its Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. The program elevates Softcat’s responsibilities, enabling them to provide customers with direct access to integrated Microsoft Cloud solutions with flexible management, support and monthly direct billing options.
Softcat is pleased to release its audited full financial results for the year ending July 31st 2014. This was another year of very strong progress across all areas of the Company and the following results have been achieved entirely organically.
Following four years of exceptionally fast growth, Softcat has made the inaugural Investec 100 list, which ranks the 100 fastest growing companies in the UK. Softcat was ranked 28th, 69 places higher than its position of 97 last year.
Softcat has launched Cisco Meraki managed services in order to provide customers with fully managed wireless switching and security solutions, with an unprecedented four-hour engineer call-out time for any issues.
Earlier this week Softcat picked up two awards from new partner Pure Storage: Value Add Reseller H1FY2015, and Reseller Technical Specialist H1FY2015. Krishna Keshvara from Softcat’s data centre infrastructure team, accepted the awards from Vince Blackall, Pure Storage’s director of channels EMEA.
Last night Softcat scored a hat-trick in Brussels as it took Platinum Partner of the Year, UK Partner of the Year and EMEA Partner of the year at Dell’s annual EMEA partner conference and awards ceremony.
HP has launched the ninth generation of its celebrated server systems, and there’s plenty for customers to be excited about. The ProLiant Gen9 servers are being hailed as ‘revolutionary’ by HP server enthusiasts, owing to its dramatic improvements over previous generation servers, which make it much better-adapted to meet modern data centre workloads.
As of this month, Softcat’s customers now have the option to purchase Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Standard licensing via subscription. Adobe will still offer customers perpetual licenses, but is advising customers to consider subscription licensing’s many benefits including lower up front cost, simplified management and easy cost-effective upgrades.
