Softcat won CRN’s ‘Best Company to Work For’ at the CRN Sales and Marketing Awards last night at the Brewery in London. The award comes just a month after the IT infrastructure provider came 2nd and 8th in the ‘Great Place To Work’ UK and European rankings respectively.
Mobile optimised Windows 8 has been out since 2010 and since then mobile device manufacturers have really started to embrace the touch screen revolution, creating devices that not only work brilliantly as a standard keyboard and mouse laptop; but also great as a touchy feeling device.
Weeks after achieving second place in the UK’s Great Place To Work scheme, Softcat has come 8th place in the European ranking, out of over 2,300 companies from 19 countries taking part.

Softcat secures a fourth UK Government public sector framework agreement with Crown Commercial Service
IT infrastructure provider Softcat has secured a bid for all 11 Lots within the new Technology Services Framework (RM1058) allowing it to provide a wide range of specialist IT services, including network management, content security, desktop support and disaster recovery, for its growing public sector customer base over the next four years.
On Friday night, Softcat staff, friends, family and business partners poured into London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel for the IT company’s annual charity May Ball. The sell-out event raised £300,000 surpassing last year’s total of £236,000.
