Thank you for taking the time to consider Softcat’s Software Asset Management (SAM) Services; you are taking the first step to saving money and reducing the risk to your organisation. We can help you gain control of one of your most valuable assets: software. In addition to the usual benefits of a robust SAM programme, registering with the Microsoft SAM Programme through Softcat will give you a certificate stating that Microsoft should not have to review you for 12 months (on completion of the programme), as well as one day of complimentary SAM training.

About the Softcat SAM Team

Softcat’s SAM team has collectively in excess of 50 years of license management experience to bring to bear in assisting you with your SAM Programme. A typical engagement will involve a technologist who will assist in the selection, installation and configuration of a suitable Network Audit Tool, as well as one or more SAM Consultants who will conduct a licensing review, leading to the delivery of a Microsoft Actual Licensing Position (ALP). We and Microsoft will then certify this ALP for a period of 12 months. We would then hope to work with you to ensure that the appropriate policies and procedures are in place, and provide regular reviews to help maintain good practice.

Softcat are a Microsoft Gold Partner with specialisations in Software Asset Management and License Delivery. Unless instructed otherwise by the client, Softcat SAM Consultants will carry out their work according to ISO/IEC 19770-1. We are also a Centennial Platinum Partner.
